在線上Cambridge Dictionary查number這個字
看到2個例句：
例句1
A small number of children are educated at home.
例句2
A large number of invitations has been sent.
第1句的動詞複數，因為孩子2個以上，這個可以理解
第2句的has用單數，不用複數have，是為什麼呢? 請帖不是2張以上嗎?
目前理解的是...
被動
A large number of invitations were sent.
加上完成式
A large number of invitations have been sent.
