複合形容詞有一種類型是「N+Ving / N+Vpp」
這兩種的不同我有懂
heart-breaking news 與 the heart-broken man
(Ving是主動，Vpp是被動)
我想問的問題是，為什麼有一些少數時候
複合形容詞不遵守「Ving是主動，Vpp是被動」的規律？
例如：
1. well-behaved (O) 但 well-behaving (X)
2. well-learned (O) 但 well-learning (X)
3. well-read (O) 但 well-reading (X)
網路上有老外也問了類似的問題

「"Why?" questions can often be unanswerable in historical linguistics. One can
only discuss factors that might have had an influence, and describe how they
interact through the passage of time.」
雖然有人討論過了
