[Ask] How to pick up the topic while I'm doin

Hello, it's my first post in this channel.
I'm Cecilia, Taiwanese

I'm here to ask some advice that how should I choose the topic to chat with my American friend.
We've got along quite well, the only thing is that we sometimes have no idea what we are going to say.
At the beginning we gave each other drama as homework, I gave her "close your eyes before it gets dark"
And she gave me" Grace and Frankie"
But we soon realized that there are too many episodes to focus on discussing.

Please help me!!!
