雖然法國PSA集團已經併購Opel了，但他們仍會推出下一代508，全新508將在明年上市
，今年底前新508實車就會發表。
新508對手鎖定Ford Mobdeo, VW Arteon, BMW 3系列, 以及自家人Opel Insignia..等
下一代508將採用"EMP2"底盤架構，甩掉現行笨重老舊的PF3底盤架構，PF3已使用16年了
。EMP2比較輕量化，新508應能提升操控表現。
外型方面，AutoExpress從Peugeot內部得到的消息，新508設計會更有型，
不會侷限在傳統三廂式D級距車的死板外型。
進度快一點的話，2018上半年歐洲就會開始銷售全新Peugeot 508。
