（Frank Buckley生於足球聯盟成立的1882年，20歲那年從軍人身份退伍後
  加入Aston Villa開啟球員生涯，期間效力包括曼聯、曼城、布萊頓等多家球會，
  一次世界大戰期間他加入英國陸軍的17th Middlesex Regiment部隊服役，
  在索姆河戰役期間受傷，戰後獲得少校軍階並重返足球開始擔任教練，
  在他的教練生涯後期發掘了Stan Cullis, Billy Wright, John Charles
  與Jack Charlton等知名球員。）
