Hamilton (shoulder) could be out 12 weeks

Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto revealed Friday that Josh Hamilton
(shoulder) could miss as much as 12 weeks rather than the 6-8 weeks as
initially projected.
Nothing has changed regarding Hamilton's rehab from surgery to repair the AC
joint in his right shoulder, but rather Dipoto is just admitting that the
club isn't quite sure how long the outfielder will be sidelined. "It could be
six to eight weeks, it could be as much as 12 weeks," Dipoto said. "He had a
bone shaved down to create less friction in an arthritic shoulder. Until he
gets on site and on the field, it’s tough to determine how long it will
take." Hamilton, who had the procedure on February 3, could wind up missing
all of spring training and not make his season debut until sometime in May.
