Jon Heyman of CBS Sports confirms that the Rangers have agreed to a deal to ac
quire Cole Hamels from the Phillies.

TR Sullivan of MLB.com had first reported that the two sides were very close o
n ironing out a deal. Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported that Jorg
e Alfaro, Jerad Eickhoff and and Nick Williams will head to the Phillies, whil
e Jake Diekman will join the Rangers. The Phillies will also send cash to the
Rangers as part of the deal. Expect everything to be finalized and officially
announced on Thursday.
