[字彙] 分享 9/20 考試出現45個字彙 (V163 AWA 5.5)

各位同學大家好，我是王梓沅老師，是方有毅老師退休前，生涯中聘請過少數老師中

最年輕的老師。在這邊分享今天 (9/20) 我本人去GRE考試出現的字彙。

其實GRE字彙只要真正出國念過書，就會知道很多是在英美國念書或是學術文章裡

真的都會用到的字，因此我鼓勵大家用對的方法踏實的心態，將它們記起來。

碰熟了真的就會發現，GRE的單字不但「有範圍」並且沒有那麼恐怖了。


fecklessness (inefficient and irresponsble --> （糟到不行的員工了）
obsequious -- sycophantic
dissolve (GRE考抽象意思：組織瓦解)
subordinate to
bumbling

pejorative
unwarranted
inscrutable
enigmatic
aloof

uncharacteristic
impassioned (別跟 impassive, dispassionate 搞混)
spellbound
to glean ~ from (常跟汲取information有關係)
buoy (v.)

alacrity (promptness in response --有關有效率、快 GRE也愛考 celerity和dispatch)
taciturn
trite (別跟 contrite, contrived 搞混)
condescending
callow

naive
infelicities
sophisticated
perfunctory
insouciance (好朋友是 indiffernece, nonchalance)

indolent (出現兩次，用"印度人"來記, 不要跟 insolent, insolvent 搞混)
slothful
shrewd
hubris (另外也很愛考 imperious 和 overweening)
self-absorption (cf. self-effacing, self-aggrandizing, self-important)

prescience (cf. clairvoyance)
conscientious
circumscribe (別跟 circumspect, circumstantial, circumlocutory 搞混)
relinquish
cede

polemic (是考點: 和cynicism 的意思要區分好)
cynicism
take sth at one's face value (母語人士常用，但台灣學生不太會的片語）
perfection (往年也喜歡考不犯錯的 "unerring" 和 "impeccable")
flawlessness
