其實題目問的是：「被刪掉最多格資料的那一欄」最少被刪掉幾格資料?
1) randomly deleted exactly one entry in each row.
=> 一列刪掉一格資料, 所以九列刪掉九格資料沒錯
2) If the column had the greatest number of
entries deleted,
what is the least number of entries that could have been
deleted in that column
=> 直譯的話：若某欄具有最多格的
被刪資料, 那它最少具有幾格
被刪資料
deleted應該是修飾entries, 我猜是故意寫成這樣來誤導考生
一般不是都講 "the number of deleted entries"?
(2,2,2,2) 先平均分配
被刪資料的數量, 就發現還不到9個
所以最少要分成這樣
(
3,2,2,2)
(2,
3,2,2)
(2,2,
3,2)
(2,2,2,
3)
希望我沒理解錯
