其實美國老早就這樣要求要填Taiwan了，

只是這次直接挑明: country of birth

我記得之前看過的文章都是寫birthplace或者place of birth或者其他說法

但也有可能其實早就提過country of birth要填Taiwan，但是我沒看過而已

然後以往美國表單上面或者只有律師才會看的form instruction都會寫country of birth

在一堆沒啥人在意的表單指引裡其實也寫過country of birth寫台灣

這次移民局文章比較特別的是，移民局直接發公告說country of birth寫Taiwan，

也就是說: 寫台灣一直都是這樣操作的，但這次特別顯眼的發公告。

另外，有一類人其實還是例外的，

台美斷交前出生的話，出生地還是可以寫中國，

就像我長輩的申請也都是寫ROC，這個沒問題。

從這邊可以看出，美國是一個依法行政的國家，

可以填ROC的就可以填，不要填ROC的請改用Taiwan，

一切都是依法，而不是像民進黨那種意識型態。
