The physics law of entropy postulates that the level of disorder within a
system must increase, not decrease. Therefore, a watch must gradually be
worn out given enough time.

The increase in value of watches is an economic phenomenon. I believe it is
the manipulation of supply of demand that causes luxury watches to fluctuate
in their market prices.
