Q. Which of the following statement is true?
(A) Every matrix is row equivalent to a unique matrix in echelon form.
(B) Any system of n linear equations in n variables has at most n solutions.
(C) If a system of linear equations has two different solutions, it must have
infinitely many solutions.
(D) If a system of linear equations has no free variables, then it has a
unique solution.
(E) If A is an m x n matrix and the equation Ax = b is consistent for some b,
then the columns of A span Rm.

(A) False, echelon form 不唯一，reduced row-echelon才會唯一
(B) False, 可能「有解(唯一/無限)、無解」
(C) False, 有可能是「唯一解、零解Trival solution」
(D) True
(E) False, 對某些b才有解，代表Range(A)不能涵蓋整個對應域Rm

這是我的想法，但是我不確定(A)和(D)，想問一下大家的想法，謝謝。

→ Ricestone: 有平行的反而是有free variable的狀況
→ Ricestone: 我說的是三條線不是交於一點，而是兩兩交於一點
→ Ricestone: nullity會跟free variable的個數相同
→ Ricestone: 我其實看不懂你對free variable的解釋
→ Ricestone: free varible就是非pivot variable的variable
→ Ricestone: 而且這跟增廣矩陣沒關係，A本身就看得出來有沒有f.v.
