因疫情影響 溫斯頓·彼得斯認為選舉應推遲

受疫情影響，副總理溫斯頓·彼得斯（Winston Peters）希望推遲2020年大選。
據新西蘭廣播公司RNZ報道，彼得斯希望把選舉推遲到11月21日，這樣可以給公眾和議會更多的時間來準備選舉。
新西蘭優先黨希望在11月21日舉行大選，但總理傑辛達·阿德恩(Jacinda Ardern)決定大選應該在9月19日舉行。國家黨競選主席保拉·貝內特(Paula Bennett)也認為，考慮到中共病毒危機，9月的選舉可能是不現實的。
