[心得] EB2-NIW I-140 分享

今天I-140申請通過了
感謝老婆的支持

以下分享申請經驗
大多數的美國移民簽證分為三種
親屬移民 職業移民 樂透移民
職業移民裡有兩種不需要雇主支持
即為 EB1-A 與 EB2-NIW
我這次是申請 EB2-NIW 它必須滿足三個條件
1)申請人在其工作領域有重要價值
2)未來的工作將有利於美國且為國家級規模
3)申請人若申請工作證將使美國的利益受損

Background:
Category: EB2-NIW
Education: PhD (Taiwan) in Computer Science and Information Engineering
Visa Status: none (outside the US)

Journal Paper: 4 (2nd Author *4)
Conference Paper: 9 (1st Author *5)
Citation: ~70 (Google Scholar)

Recommendation Letter:
  Dependent: 2
    USA Professor (my co-author)
    USA Partner Director (my client)
  Independent: 3
    Taiwan Professor A (cite my paper)
    Taiwan Professor B (cite my paper)
    USA Senior Engineer (the same research field)

Timeline:
2016.07.28 free evaluation for EB2-NIW
2016.08.15 sign with attorney (approval or refund)
2016.09.30 finish collection of recommendation letter
2016.11.07 finish petition letter
2016.11.16 file I-140 to TSC
2016.11.17 I-797C priority date
2016.11.21 receive I-797C receipt notice
2016.12.23 I-140 case was approved
2017.01.23 case was transferred to NVC
