I dedicated this song （93 million miles) to my parents, who not only supporte
d me in my dream,
they gave me permission to fail, they said, “It’s alright, you’re
already off the hook, you can’t screw up, we love you no matter what.”

And that kind of unconditional love gives to a son or a daughter permission to
 fly
, they fly high, and see the world. I’m grateful for them, and the love they
showed me had shown up in my music, and I get to pay that love forward, in lov
e songs and through kindness everywhere I go. Start from that one
small act, love for a Child.

(I'd) like to take just a minute, acknowledge the leadership here in Taiwan, f
or your support, the same sex marriage, it is a victory heard around the world
 my friends, around the world.

It’s a simple act to love and accept someone for who they are,
no matter who they are, to give them permission to fly,
because you never know what kind of love they're going to give to the world, a
nd how they’re going to shape the world, all because you loved them.

Let’s take just a moment, think about somebody in your life,
who has loved you, who has helped you become who you are,
maybe it's somebody in your life now just lets you be who you are.
Really think about them, picture them. What are they wearing right now? Where
are they? Are they still on this planet? Or had they gone on with those others
 before.

Either way, really think about them right now. Feel them, sending your thought
, sending the good vibrations in your heart
to see if they can feel your love and appreciation for them.
Let’s all take a deep breath together...
