Yesterday's game against the Lakers was a good example of what the Kings can do
really well and also what they can't do, namely get stops against opposing
guards.Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell, Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson combined
for 90 of the Lakers 115 total points.Russell in particular nearly won the
Lakers the game after the Kings took their foot off the gas in the 3rd quarter,
seemingly content with their 27 point lead.
昨天面對湖人的比賽是一個很好的例子顯現出國王什麼地方很好，也有什麼他們不行的，
那就是他們無法阻擋對手的後場。Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell, Lou Williams和
Jordan Clarkson合計拿了湖人115分中的90分。尤其是Russell在國王似乎滿足於27分的
領先並在第三節中後段停下腳步之後，差點帶領湖人贏球

In the post-game press conference, George Karl seemed particularly peeved
about the lack of perimeter defense.
在賽後的公開記者採訪會，囧卡似乎特別對外圍防守的不足很不爽。

Karl: "I don’t need anymore points, I don’t need anything more than somebody
to cover the damn basketball."

Karl: "If someone gets hungry enough to cover the basketball he’ll probably
play."

Karl also pointed out that the guards are putting too much pressure on
Sacramento's big men to protect the basket, which leads to guys getting out
of position or in foul trouble.The Kings actually have some tough interior
defense, particularly when Willie Cauley-Stein is healthy and they can rotate
him in with Cousins and Kosta Koufos, with Quincy Acy there for added depth,
but they're not good enough to cover up for the rest of the team's deficiencies.
The Kings are currently allowing the most three point attempts and giving up
the most three point makes in the league.They have the 3rd worst defensive
eFG% and the 7th worst defensive rating in the league.
囧卡也點出後場給了國王隊的大個子太多的防守壓力，不是讓他們失位就是有犯規麻煩。
實際上國王是擁有夠強硬的內線防守的，特別是WCS健康時國王可以拿來將他輪替表弟跟
Koufos，Quincy Acy也可以增加輪替深度。但他們沒有好到可以掩蓋隊上的剩餘缺陷。
國王現在是讓對手嘗試最多三分球出手也投進最多的球隊。他們有著全聯盟倒數第三的
對手有效命中率(eFG%)跟倒數第七的防守評價(對手每100次球權的得分)。

With the trade deadline just over a month away, the Kings would be wise to
put some feelers out on guys that can play defense and stay on the court.
By that I mean, not guys like James Anderson, who does play defense but is such
a liability elsewhere that the net effect is still positive for the other team.
距離交易大限結束還有一個月左右的時間，國王應該要明智地去試探看看那些球員是可以
防守並且留在場上的。我指的不是像James Anderson那種可以防守但其他方面是個負資產，
整體說起來對對手是正面效益的那種球員。

In the meantime, the coaching staff needs to take a serious look at the
current schemes to try find a way to make the current roster work on that
end.The constant switching in particular seems to be a problem as other
teams look to exploit it.In quite a few of the recent games we've seen
small guards switched onto opposing big men.Against the Mavericks it
happened two or three possessions in a row where Darren Collison would get
switched onto Dirk Nowitzki, and it resulted in points for Dallas each time.
That's not an effort issue, that's a scheme issue.
同時，教練團需要對現有的(防守)體系做個嚴肅的考量，嘗試找個方法讓現有的陣容能
致力於防守端。尤其是當對手利用固定不變的switch防守打點你，已經是個問題了。
在最近相當多的比賽我們可以看到小後衛switch守到對方的大個子。對上小牛的比賽
就連續發生兩到三次DC去守到Dirk Nowitzki，導致小牛每次都能夠得分。這不是努力
不努力的問題了，這是體系的問題。

There's still plenty of season left.This team has a ton of talent on the
offensive end, but if they want to make this season something special,
they'll need to start bringing it on the other side of the ball as well.
球季還很長。這支球隊在進攻端擁有大量的天分，但如果他們想要讓這個球季有些特別，
他們將需要開始好好在防守端全力使出看家本領。
