Jenrry Mejia 四月被罰了 80 場的禁賽因為用藥
今天再度被抓, 這次就是 162 場禁賽.
不難理解 Mets 找來 Tyler Clippard 的用意,
而同時, Mejia 在 MLB 的未來可能是相當渺茫了.
Mets' Jenrry Mejia suspended for second time this season
New York Mets right-hander Jenrry Mejia has been suspended 162 games without
pay after testing positive for performance-enhancing substances, the league
announced Tuesday.
Mejia tested positive for
Stanozolol and Boldenone. The suspension is
effective immediately.
Mejia had received an 80-game suspension in April, also for a violation of
the league's policy against performance-enhancing substances. In that
instance, he tested positive for Stanozolol.
Mejia said in a statement at the time: "I can honestly say I have no idea how
a banned substance ended up in my system.''
Mejia, 25, returned from that suspension earlier this month, allowing four
hits in 7 1/3 innings over seven games.
"We were extremely disappointed when informed of Jenrry's second suspension
for violating MLB's Joint Drug Prevention Program," the Mets said in a
statement. "We fully support MLB's policy toward eliminating performance
enhancing substances from the sport."
