The drinks are on Brandon Laird -- if you can find your way to the Far East.

The former major leaguer -- who had brief stints with the New York Yankees in
2011 and the Houston Astros in 2012 and 2013 -- now plays for the Hokkaido
Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan. His home run off a Kirin Beer sign on Tuesday
earned him a year's supply of beer and $10,000, according to a report in the
Japan Times.

"Definitely not drink it," Laird said, when asked what he'd do with his
thirst-quenching prize. "Maybe give some to the batting practice pitchers or
whoever wants it."

You don't really believe him though, do you?

第二年越洋跑去日本火腿打球, 昨晚在東京巨蛋打出今年第 10 支全壘打

(三年在 ML, 138 個 PA 只有 6 支全壘打)

但昨晚的全壘打敲中了左外野 Kirin 啤酒的看板

讓他賺到了 $10K 以及一年份的啤酒
