Former football standout turned MLB hopeful Tim Tebow has started his
professional baseball career with a bang. He stepped in the batters box for his
first ever plate appearance as a player for the Mets in instructional league in
Port St. Lucie, Florida, and ...

Boom goes the dynamite (I can still use that, right? Or has the shelf life
expired?).

That's a lefty-lefty matchup and Tebow took the fellow Southpaw deep to
left-center.

Tebow obviously remains a project for the Mets (keep in mind how many levels
away from the majors instructional league is), but the one thing we firmly
heard from scouts following his open workout was that the power is very real.

Said power was on display in his first at-bat.

Let the overhype train proceed into overdrive and then derail from the
polarizing hot takes.
