Ben Reiter predicts the Yankees will win the World Series in 2020


Sports Illustrated’s Ben Reiter made a bold prediction back in 2014 when he

said the Houston Astros would win the 2017 World Series. On Wednesday night,

he was proven right. Now Reiter has chosen the Yankees with his next

prediction.





It hurts to admit, Yankees fans, but the Houston Astros are the kings of the

 baseball world.

They have endured years of suffering and it finally paid off with their first

World Series title in franchise history. Buoyed by their young core, the

‘Stros went from a 100 loss team to a 100 win team in a matter of just a few

 years.


Sports Illustrated’s Ben Reiter saw the potential back in 2014 and made a

 bold claim that landed on the cover of a magazine read worldwide.


The now infamous cover has been exploding on the Internet and has teams

hoping that they will be the beneficiaries of his next big prediction.


Recently, Reiter went on the Dan Patrick Show to talk about his past

prediction. What’s important for you and me, is that the New York Yankees

were also a topic of conversation.


When Patrick asked who would win the 2020 World Series, without hesitation,

Reiter proclaimed the Yankees!


Reiter would go on to commend the young talent already on the roster and

forecasts the Yanks picking up a big name free agent or two and quickly

 returning to dynasty form for a long, long time.


The full interview can be heard below. It’s chock-full of tantalizing

insight.



While it’s not as bold a claim as nailing the precise year the Astros would

win it all when they were still terrible, it certainly gives Yankees’

fans hope that our own championship parade is right around the corner.


Once again, predicting three years into the future, Reiter hopes to go

 2-for-2 with his World Series prognostications. The one thing we hope

Reiter is completely wrong about is his feeling that the Astros will win

back-to-back titles.

Ben Reiter認為現有的洋基陣容將會重新創造出新的洋基王朝，至少會持續一段時間
