Heyman | Phillies sign RP Francisco Rodriguez

With 16 seasons of major league experience under his belt, relief pitcher
Francisco Rodriguez took a step towards playing a 17th on Saturday. A source
told FanRag Sports that Rodriguez has agreed to a minor league deal with the
Philadelphia Phillies, with the deal including an invitation to training
camp. Rodriguez will have a $2.5 million base salary in the majors and the
opportunity to make an additional $1.25 million in incentives.

Rodriguez appeared in 28 games for the Detroit Tigers last season, going 2-5
with a 7.82 ERA and a 1.66 WHIP in 25.1 innings pitched. Rodriguez allowed 23
runs — 22 earned — on 31 hits during his time with the Tigers, converting
just seven of his 13 save opportunities.

日後如果能夠升上大聯盟的話將可領到250萬元，再加上激勵獎金最多可以拿到375萬元


今年年初剛過36歲生日的K-Rod

上個球季在老虎隊登板28場，戰績為2勝5敗7救援   防禦率 7.82

整體表現非常不理想，後來也在6月下旬遭到球隊釋出

之後則是改與國民隊簽約，不過他只在小聯盟投了五場比賽後就被釋出
