Twins' Logan Morrison on Yankee Stadium hecklers: 'You can't fix stupid'



NEW YORK — There are better places than Yankee Stadium to show up with a .091
batting average and have that displayed on the Jumbotron in center field, but
Logan Morrison wasn't too worried about hecklers this week.

"I've heard a lot of stuff but it's not original," the Twins first baseman sai

before the series began. "It's, 'You suck,' all that kind of stuff. I mean,
they'll boo me, but other than that..."

14-1 loss Monday night, sparked a mini-controversy last July when he ripped th

"flawed system" that invited Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez to the Home Run Derb

in Miami.

去年7月時Logan就有酸過明星賽制度有缺陷，竟然讓洋基的捕手Gary Sanchez去打全壘打
大賽。



"Gary shouldn't be there," Morrison said at the time. "Gary's a great player,
but he shouldn't be in the Home Run Derby."

「Gary不該來到明星賽。」Logan在去年的時候說到。「Gary是個很棒的選手，不過他不

Morrison, who had outhomered Sanchez 24-13 at that point, lost out in the Fina
l
Vote for what would have been his first career All-Star Game selection. Sanche

later told reporters asking about Morrison: "It's not my fault he didn't get
selected."

Dropped to seventh in the Twins' order against veteran lefty C.C. Sabathia,
Morrison was set to play his seventh game at Yankee Stadium since the Sanchez
flap. He was 3 for 27 (.111) with 14 strikeouts against the Yankees overall
in that span, leaving him with a .192 career average and .346 slugging
percentage here in 55 plate appearances.

"They didn't like the Gary Sanchez thing with the Home Run Derby," Morrison
said, "but you can't fix stupid, you know?"
