Ichiro may retire after Mariners' current homestand https://tinyurl.com/y87jwzgv 消息指出, Ichiro 很有可能在本週 Mariners 的主場系列戰後宣告退休. Mariners 本週二三四主場對上 A's, 五六日對上 Angels. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ichiro Suzuki may be entering the final days of his MLB career. In an appearance Tuesday on 950 KJR in Seattle, Brad Adam of Root Sports shared that he texted with the Seattle Mariners veteran outfielder and that the feeling is that the team’s current homestand will be his last. Adam also said that he believes Ichiro wants to retire as a Mariner. The Mariners host the Oakland Athletics for a three-game series that begins on Tuesday, followed by another three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels that concludes on Sunday. They then embark on a seven-game road trip and do not return home again to Safeco Field until May 15. The 44-year-old Ichiro, who is hitting just .220/.256/.220 in 14 appearances in 2018, has played in the MLB for 18 seasons and said last year that he wanted to continue playing for a while longer. It’s unclear if a return to his native Japan would be in the cards.
