Baltimore Bar Will Give Away Free Shots Whenever Chris Davis Gets a Hit

The Baltimore Orioles are undoubtedly the worst team in baseball, possessing a
19-47 record, and it's not getting any better.

One of their highest paid players, first baseman Chris Davis, is statistically
the worst hitter in the sport.

To lighten the mood and help fans get through this horrid season, a bar in
Baltimore, Bartenders Pub at 2218 Boston Street, is having some fun and giving
out free shots to fans...

...whenever Davis actually gets a hit.

“Baseball season for us is big business,” owner Dana Coker said. “… With
the team not doing so well, it’s affected our business. We just can’t seem to
do any specials that encourage people to come to the bar and watch baseball
with us."

"We’re just trying to give people a reason to come out and watch the games
again,” owner Danny Coker said.

A potential free Dr. Pepper shooter might get some fans into the bar, but
hopefully fans don't mind the possibility they don't get anything on the
house because Davis isn't making much contact, much less getting a base hit.

In 57 games this season, Davis is slashing .150/.227/.227 with four home runs,
15 RBI and 31 total hits.

Horrid.
