https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-rumors-trades-and-signings 在官網逐日更新 所以要注意一下日期 Phillies, Indians have discussed Bauer trade 費城人和笑臉討論了Bauer July 24: The Indians' success since the start of June has made it more unlikely that the club will move Trevor Bauer before the Trade Deadline, but Cleveland is apparently still fielding offers for the right-hander. Sources told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi that the Indians have discussed a Bauer trade with the Phillies, even though general manager Matt Klentak on Tuesday downplayed the chances of Philadelphia making a blockbuster deal. Bauer is under control through 2020, so Philadelphia would be able to slot him into its rotation alongside Aaron Nola next year in addition to benefiting from his presence this season. The Phils are just a half-game behind the Cardinals for the second National League Wild Card spot. Bauer's expected salary in his final year of arbitration (potentially around $20 million) has been mentioned as a possible deterrent for some suitors, but that's less of a concern for the deep-pocketed Phillies. Mets fielding offers for Diaz; asking price astronomical 梅子對Diaz也開出了天價 July 24: The Mets seemingly added their closer of the present and future when they acquired Edwin Diaz along with Robinson Cano from the Mariners in a blockbuster trade last December, as the reliever is under control through 2022. But less than eight months later, New York is willing to listen to offers for the 25-year-old right-hander, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo, confirming news initially reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan. The Mets' asking price for Diaz appears to be prohibitive, however, especially given Diaz's struggles this season. One executive told Passan that the team is asking for more than it gave up to get Diaz. The full deal with Seattle saw New York pick up Diaz and Cano for Jarred Kelenic, Justin Dunn, Gerson Bautista, Jay Bruce and Anthony Swarzak. The M's also sent the Mets $20 million to cover part of the $120 million remaining on Cano's contract, which runs through 2023. Kelenic and Dunn were the big prizes for the Mariners, as both are ranked among MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects (Kelenic 22nd and Dunn 65th). According to Passan, the club's willingness to deal Diaz so soon after the trade doesn't mean it necessarily wants to move on from him. Rather, the Mets are exploring all avenues to improve their roster. Why J.D. is unlikely to be moved July 24: Red Sox manager Alex Cora admitted Monday that a swoon leading up to the Trade Deadline on July 31 could convince Boston's front office to sell, rather than try to add pieces. The Sox are in the midst of a pivotal 14-game stretch in which they'll play nobody but the Rays and Yankees. But with a win in its first two games of a three-game set at Tropicana Field, Boston is now tied with Tampa Bay for second place in the American League East and only two games out in the race for the second AL Wild Card spot. A sale by the reigning World Series champions is looking unlikely, and even if the club did opt to go in that direction, there aren't many players it would make available. Core assets such as Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers, Andrew Benintendi and Chris Sale aren't going anywhere, and it's doubtful other teams will be interested in taking on the money still owed to David Price ($96 million over 2020-22) and Nathan Eovaldi ($51 million over 2020-22). Free-agent-to-be Rick Porcello and center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. (controllable through 2020) are possible trade candidates, but both players have struggled this season. 紅襪也有當賣家的可能,像是Porcello或JBJ,不過他們今年都很掙扎 There's also slugger J.D. Martinez, who can opt out of the remaining three years and $62.5 million on his deal after this season. Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski has indicated that he doesn't expect the team to negotiate a new contract with Martinez. However, MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal listed several reasons why Martinez is unlikely to be traded in a story for The Athletic (subscription required) on Wednesday. As Rosenthal notes, it's not a given that Martinez will actually opt out, which could deter National League clubs from targeting him. Martinez will be 35 by the end of his deal, and NL teams would be forced to play him in the outfield, with no DH spot available. Martinez is a better fit in the AL, but most of the Junior Circuit's top contenders are more focused on pitching, and the teams seeking a bat -- the Rays, Indians and A's -- are low-revenue clubs that likely wouldn't take the risk of having to pay Martinez $62.5 million over the next three years. 還有個可能,今年結束可以跳脫的JDM,但比較多人的目標是投手 小市場的球隊則不會想擔JDM不跳出的風險 Update on Tigers' trade candidates: Greene, Boyd, Castellanos July 24: While impending free agent Nicholas Castellanos remains the most likely Tigers player to be dealt before the Trade Deadline on July 31, a source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi that Detroit recently has become more active in discussions involving closer Shane Greene. 老虎似乎比較積極在賣Greene,道奇國民有來看他比賽 Scouts from the Dodgers and Nationals, two teams known to have interest in him, were in attendance at Comerica Park on Tuesday and saw Greene throw a scoreless inning. As for Matthew Boyd, a National League executive told Morosi that Detroit's asking price for the left-hander has been so high that there's significant doubt in the industry about whether he'll be moved. Boyd is controllable through 2022, so it's no surprise the Tigers have lofty demands. Boyd 老樣子,費城人也有來問Boyd和Greene The Yankees were among the teams with a scout at Boyd’s start on Tuesday, according to Morosi, who notes that Phillies GM Matt Klentak was also in attendance. The Phils have spoken with the Tigers about Boyd and Greene, as first reported by Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia. The Tigers aren’t actively discussing Boyd with the Astros, and talks between the Tigers and Padres regarding Boyd failed to advance, sources told Morosi. Padres likely would require Chapman- or Miller-like package to trade Yates Padres想要Chapman或Miller交易等級的包裹來換Yates July 24: With the Padres struggling lately -- they've gone 5-13 over their past 18 games to drop to six games out in the race for the second National League Wild Card spot -- closer Kirby Yates has been mentioned as a potential trade candidate. But MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal writes in an article for The Athletic (subscription required) that the Padres "likely would require a package along the lines of what the Yankees received for Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller in 2016" to deal Yates, who is under control through 2020. The Yanks received a four-player package headlined by Gleyber Torres from the Cubs in exchange for Chapman three years ago, and days later sent Andrew Miller to the Indians for Clint Frazier, Justus Sheffield and two others. At the time, Chapman was an impending free agent, while Miller was signed for two more years after 2016. Even if the Padres are not able to get back in the race this season, the up-and-coming club is poised to contend next year as its elite farm system continues to bear fruit, and Yates is an important part of the equation. Per Rosenthal, San Diego could look to sign the 32-year-old to a contract extension, and Yates told The Athletic's Dennis Lin on Tuesday that he "absolutely" would be open to that possibility. As Reds swoon, could Puig be traded? July 24: During the All-Star break, Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams told The Athletic's C. Trent Rosecrans that the club would be in the buyers category before the Trade Deadline on July 31. But with a 5-7 record since the break, Cincinnati is now seven games out in the National League Central and 6 1/2 behind in the NL Wild Card standings. As a result, MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal suggests in a story for The Athletic (subscription required) that the club could look to sell, with impending free agent Yasiel Puig appearing to be a "strong candidate" to be traded. Other interesting soon-to-be free agents on Cincinnati's roster include second baseman Scooter Gennett, shortstop Jose Iglesias and right-hander Tanner Roark. 紅人可能賣Puig,還有快FA的Gennett,Iglesias,Roark Puig, who is owed the remainder of his $9.7 million salary for this season, has hit .357/.408/.698 with 11 home runs over his past 35 games, and he has extensive postseason experience from his time with the Dodgers. With few impact bats on the market, the slugger could be an attractive option for contenders in need of an offensive boost. So where might he end up if he's traded? MLB.com's Will Leitch took a look at some potential fits for Puig on Wednesday. Rangers receiving inquiries about Mazara, Leclerc, Martin 條子有被問Mazara,Leclerc,Martin July 24: The Rangers have gone just 3-8 since the All-Star break, making it increasingly likely the club will opt to sell before the Trade Deadline, and left-hander Mike Minor isn't the only Texas player receiving trade interest. According to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal in an article for The Athletic (subscription required), the Rangers have been getting inquiries about outfielder Nomar Mazara. Mazara hasn't put it all together for a breakout season at the MLB level yet, but the former top prospect is still just 24 years old, and he has two years of team control remaining after 2019. So why would Texas trade him? As Rosenthal points out, the club has a glut of left-handed-hitting, corner-outfield types in Mazara, Shin-Soo Choo, Willie Calhoun and Joey Gallo, who has capably handled center field this season but is arguably best suited for left or right. Meanwhile, relievers Jose Leclerc and Chris Martin are also drawing interest, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported earlier this week. Leclerc was removed from the closer's role when he struggled early in the year, but he has recorded a 2.88 ERA with 54 strikeouts in his past 34 1/3 innings. He's under control through 2024, as he signed a four-year, $14.75 million contract in March that covers the 2019-22 seasons and includes two club option years valued at $6 million for 2023 ($750,000 buyout) and $6.25 million for 2024. As for Martin, he's controllable through 2023, though it's worth noting he'll be 37 years old at that point. The righty has a 1.9 HR/9 mark this season, but he has posted a 3.16 ERA with a 41-to-3 K/BB ratio in 37 innings. Could Mets keep Wheeler and extend him qualifying offer? Wheeler,交易價值目前到頂,大都會真的會賣嗎 July 24: While Zack Wheeler is set to come off the injured list to start Friday after missing time due to right shoulder fatigue, the trade offers for the right-hander will likely be affected by his IL stint, even if he pitches well in his return, writes ESPN's Jeff Passan. Wheeler's trade value was already capped, to a degree, by his impending free agency, and Passan notes that a source recently wondered whether the New York would consider holding onto Wheeler and extending him a qualifying offer this offseason. More > Stroman, Minor likely to be dealt Stroman,Minor,在賣家減少的情況下賣出機率增加 July 24: As trade buzz has reached a fever pitch in recent weeks, the players drawing the most chatter have been Trevor Bauer, Madison Bumgarner, Matthew Boyd, Noah Syndergaard, Zack Wheeler, Marcus Stroman and Mike Minor, at least among starting pitchers. However, it's now possible that most of those hurlers will end up staying put for various reasons -- team success on the parts of Bauer and Bumgarner, steep asking prices for Boyd and Syndergaard, an injury for Wheeler -- and the Blue Jays and Rangers appear poised to capitalize on the shrinking pitching market. According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, multiple executives said they've been led to believe Stroman will be traded before the Deadline. And based on conversations with rival execs, Passan believes that Minor's start on Wednesday will likely be his last with Texas. Stroman and Minor are both under control through 2020, so their current teams aren't facing a situation where they have to trade them to avoid losing them for nothing. But given the scarcity of alternative options, the offers may be too good for Toronto and Texas to refuse. Industry sources told MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan that the Braves and Yankees are the two teams that are best stocked to give the Rangers what they want in return for Minor. Read more about the Yanks' potential pitching targets here. Brewers not discouraged by recent struggles, injuries 釀酒人不會因為最近的傷病掙扎氣餒 July 24: Despite losing All-Star starter Brandon Woodruff to the injured list for possibly six weeks and dropping back-to-back games to the Reds, the Brewers still consider themselves as buyers at the Deadline. If anything, they feel even more pressure to make a move to replace Woodruff, who was the team's top starter this year before being sidelined. President of baseball operations David Stearns made it clear Tuesday that the Brewers intend to add to their team, not subtract from it. “You want to get to this point in the season where you have an incentive and a motivation to improve your Major League team,” Stearns said on FOX Sports Wisconsin. “We’ve been fortunate we’ve been able to do that the last couple of years, and certainly we’re in a situation this year where we’re right in the thick of the race, and we’re going to look to see what we can do over the next week to hopefully supplement this group in some capacity.” Wednesday brought more bad news for Milwaukee's rotation, however, with Jhoulys Chacin exiting his start early due to right ribcage discomfort. Yankees in touch with D-backs about Ray July 23: MLB.com's Jon Morosi reports that the Yankees, who have reportedly had their focus set on starting pitching ahead of the July 31 Trade Deadline, have been in touch with the D-backs about left-hander Robbie Ray in recent days. 洋基在和響尾蛇討論Robbie Ray Ray, 27, has a 3.95 ERA and 31 percent strikeout rate in 22 starts for Arizona this season. In his last outing, against the Orioles at Chase Field on Monday night, he gave up three runs on eight hits while walking one and fanning 10. Ray was an All-Star back in 2017, his best season so far, when he posted a 2.89 ERA in 28 starts, striking out 33 percent of the batters he faced and finishing seventh in National League Cy Young Award voting. The Yankees' rotation features some strong names, with Masahiro Tanaka and James Paxton heading the list. But collectively, New York's rotation entered play Tuesday ranked 13th in MLB with a 4.26 ERA Rival execs 'growing increasingly skeptical' that Bauer, Boyd will be traded July 23: According to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal in an article for The Athletic (subscription required), rival executives "are growing increasingly skeptical" that Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer and Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd will be traded. 很多人開始覺得Bauer和Boyd不會被賣了 Cleveland is in possession of the first American League Wild Card spot and has closed to within three games in the AL Central after trailing the Twins by 10 games as recently as June 18. Bauer is under control through 2020, so the Indians could keep him for a postseason push in 2019 and then shop him again this offseason or even next summer. Bauer的控制權到2020 Meanwhile, Rosenthal notes that the Tigers are pricing Boyd (controllable through 2022) as a No. 1 starter when he is pitching more like a No. 3. Although the left-hander has posted stellar 12.0 K/9 and 1.8 BB/9 marks this season, his ERA is 4.13, and he has allowed 14 home runs over his past eight starts (6.08 ERA). Impending free agent Madison Bumgarner's availability is now in question as well, given the Giants' recent surge, and Rosenthal writes that "no one seems to have any idea what the Mets will do with Noah Syndergaard." Boyd投得像No.3,可是老虎開的是No.1價 Might the state of the pitching market make the D-backs more inclined to trade Zack Greinke or Robbie Ray? 這樣的市場可能會讓響尾蛇傾向去賣Greinke或Ray? Greinke's contract could be a deterrent, but Arizona could be willing to eat some of the money, and based on the 35-year-old's continued excellence, Rosenthal doesn't think his salary should be that big of an obstacle. Z魔神約很大,不過響尾蛇可能會吃一些,而且他35歲表現依舊出色 Greinke is in the midst of a six-year, $206.5 million deal that goes through the 2021 season. However, there is $62.5 million in deferred money that will be paid in annual installments of $12.5 million from 2022 through 2026. So even though his “salary” for this season is $31.5 million, roughly a third of that is deferred, and he’s actually taking home $21 million for 2019. Therefore, Greinke is owed the prorated portion of his $21 million salary for 2019, as well as what’s left of the final two years of the deal, which comes out to $112.5 million (including deferred payments) when you also include two $3 million bonus payments he is still owed, as well as a $2 million trade bonus. As for Ray, Rosenthal writes that the D-backs "might get more for him than he is actually worth in a thin market for starting pitching." The left-hander, who isn't eligible to hit free agency until after the 2020 campaign, has consistently posted ace-like strikeout numbers, but his overall performance has been underwhelming (3.94 ERA since 2016). 響尾蛇賣Ray可能會想拿得更多 Rays interested in Brewers' Aguilar As he continues to break out of his first-half slump, the Brewers’ Jesus Aguilar could draw interest on the trade market ahead of next week’s Deadline. Sources told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand and Juan Toribio on Tuesday that one such interested club is the Tampa Bay Rays, who have inquired about the 29-year-old first baseman. 光芒對釀酒人的Aguilar有興趣 The Rays are in need of a right-handed-hitting first baseman, particularly with Yandy Diaz landing on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left foot contusion. While he avoided a fracture, Diaz was using crutches and there’s significant swelling in his foot. Coming off last season’s All-Star campaign in which he hit 35 home runs, Aguilar’s production has dipped in 2019. He was batting .230/.328/.385 with just nine homers in 89 games, entering Tuesday. But he’s displayed significant improvements in recent weeks, compiling a 1.080 OPS in July (entering Tuesday) compared with .634 through the seasons first three months, likely prompting Tampa Bay’s trade interest. Even if they keep Bumgarner, Giants could trade Smith July 23: The Giants' recent success has put the club back in the National League Wild Card mix and raised questions about the availability of free-agent-to-be Madison Bumgarner, who once looked like a lock to be dealt before July 31. At the very least, San Francisco's 16-3 surge has bumped up the asking price for Bumgarner, according to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal in an article for The Athletic (subscription required). But even if Bumgarner stays put and the Giants try to remain in the postseason hunt, that doesn't mean some of the team's other attractive pieces won't be moved. Rosenthal suggests San Francisco could trade closer Will Smith, another impending free agent who is drawing substantial interest around the league. With Sam Dyson, Tony Watson, Mark Melancon and Reyes Moronta in the bullpen, the Giants may be able to get by without Smith. 即使巨人不賣瘋邦,也可以考慮賣威爾史密斯 MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi has heard from a source that the Rays have been in contact with the Giants regarding some of their relievers. Per Morosi, an infielder such as Joey Wendle or Michael Brosseau could be of interest to San Francisco. 光芒對巨人RP有興趣,巨人可能對Wendle或Brosseau有興趣 Heyman: Few expect Bumgarner to be traded now July 23: The Giants have gotten back into the postseason picture with a surprising surge, going 16-3 in their past 19 games to lower their deficit to two games in the race for the second National League Wild Card spot. San Francisco's recent success has coincided with an excellent stretch from left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who has recorded a 1.55 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 29 innings over his past five starts. The 29-year-old had his longest outing of the season last Thursday, tossing nine innings of one-run ball against the Mets. At one point, it looked like a foregone conclusion that the soon-to-be free agent would be moved before the Deadline. But according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, "few see MadBum going anywhere now. 越來越少人覺得瘋邦會被賣 "An executive with interest in Bumgarner told Heyman last week that he sensed the Giants had "pulled back" in trade talks. Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi seemed to confirm this on Sunday, saying "it's impossible to say" whether Bumgarner will be dealt. Bumgarner's limited no-trade clause is also a potential factor. One source told Buster Olney that he wouldn't be shocked if Bumgarner turned down a trade "just to continue to be part of something he loves for the rest of his deal," as Olney reported in an article for ESPN+ (subscription required) on Sunday. Of course, the left-hander can only block a move to eight teams -- reportedly the Braves, Red Sox, Cubs, Astros, Brewers, Yankees, Phillies and Cardinals. There's also an incentive for him to be traded, as it would make him ineligible to receive a qualifying offer. The Draft-pick compensation tied to those who reject a qualifying offer has seemingly limited the market for some players in recent years, including left-hander Dallas Keuchel this past offseason. Morosi: Braves, Blue Jays not having active discussions concerning Stroman July 23: The Braves were among many teams scouting Stroman's start in Detroit on Friday, but that might be the extent of their activity concerning the Blue Jays right-hander. 勇士和藍鳥,對於Stroman還沒有進展 A source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi that discussions involving Stroman are not ongoing between Atlanta and Toronto. More > Rosenthal: Yankees unlikely to land Minor July 23: In their wide-ranging search for a starting pitcher, the Yankees sent vice president of baseball operations Tim Naehring to watch Rangers left-hander Mike Minor's two most recent starts, according to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal in an article for The Athletic (subscription required). 洋基不太可能拿到Minor However, Rosenthal writes that Minor's chances of going to New York "do not appear especially good." Sources told Rosenthal that Minor has the Yankees on his 10-team no-trade list. The other teams on the list are unknown. Read more on the Yankees' potential pitching targets here. Cubs, Rays eyeing Castellanos, others July 23: Tigers outfielder Nicholas Castellanos has been mentioned as a trade candidate dating back to last season, but he remains in Detroit with the Trade Deadline less than 10 days away. At this point, the soon-to-be free agent isn't convinced he'll actually be moved. "I wouldn't be shocked if I don't get traded," Castellanos said last Thursday. "Because everybody thought I was going to get traded at the last Deadline. Everybody thought I was going to get traded this [past] offseason. There were some people saying that I was gonna go in Spring Training." There does appear to be at least some interest in Castellanos, though. Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reported Sunday that the Cubs are eyeing the outfielder, presumably to help against left-handed pitching. With a lifetime .877 OPS vs. southpaws (1.152 OPS vs. LHP in 2019), Castellanos would help Chicago's offense compensate for the absence of Kyle Schwarber, who typically sits with a left-hander on the mound. He would also allow the club to use Jason Heyward in center field in place of Albert Almora Jr., who is hitting just .239/.275/.382 this season. MLB Network insider Jon Heyman reports that the Rays also have checked in on Castellanos, though he notes that there is no evidence of a deal being close between the two sides. With Kevin Kiermaier on the injured list due to a sprained left thumb, Tampa Bay could shift Tommy Pham to center field and use Castellanos or Avisail Garcia at one of the corner-outfield spots, with the other at designated hitter. The Rays have talked to the Rangers about Hunter Pence as well, according to MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi. 光芒有問Castellanos,不過還很遠,他們也在問Pence In addition to Castellanos, the Cubs are tracking D-backs outfielder Jarrod Dyson and Blue Jays utility man Eric Sogard, according to Patrick Mooney and Sahadev Sharma in an article for The Athletic (subscription required). Like Castellanos, Dyson and Sogard are on expiring deals. 小熊有在追蹤Castellanos,還有Dyson和Sogard Dyson is making roughly $6 million less than Castellanos this season, which could be an important factor if the Cubs are hoping to avoid exceeding the third luxury-tax threshold of $246 million, which comes with the steepest penalties. The lefty-swinging Dyson would presumably platoon with Almora. Sogard, meanwhile, could fill a Ben Zobrist-type role for the Cubs, hitting leadoff and handling multiple positions. The veteran is earning just $555,000 from the Jays this season while hitting .304/.367/.487. Zobrist is still on an unpaid leave of absence from the team while dealing with a family matter. Several teams interested in Givens 許多隊伍對Givens有興趣 July 23: Although Mychal Givens' 4.23 ERA and 4.63 FIP aren't all that impressive, at least a few teams are eyeing the Orioles reliever with a little more than a week to go before the Trade Deadline. MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal reports in an article for The Athletic (subscription required) that the Indians, Braves and Dodgers are interested in the right-hander, who is under control through 2021. Givens' performance has been better lately, with the 29-year-old recording a spotless ERA over his past six appearances. He also owns a 33.1 percent strikeout rate this season and has limited right-handed batters to a .189/.265/.318 slash line during his career, making him a potentially valuable option who might not cost as much to acquire as some of the other top relievers on the market. Rays have inquired about Rangers' Pence July 22: The Rays could be targeting Rangers All-Star Hunter Pence as a possible trade acquisition. MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi reported Monday that Tampa Bay has inquired about the designated hitter's availability. Pence signed a Minor League contract with the Rangers in February and made the big league club out of Spring Training. The 36-year-old veteran went on to earn his fourth All-Star selection and entered Monday batting .290/.340/.581 with 15 home runs and 48 RBIs. The Rays opened the year with the best record in baseball into May, and led the stacked American League East as late as mid-June, but have fallen back since. But if they plan to gear up for a Wild Card push down the stretch, Pence could be an option to bolster the club's lineup at a reasonable cost. Pence will be a free agent after this season, but it's been previously reported Tampa Bay is willing to trade for a rental player. The Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin quoted general manager Erik Neander as saying, "Probably the most visible thing that stands out is through the guys we have or potentially through upgrades, we have to find a way to either separate tight games offensively or lock them down on the pitching half of innings, certainly late. It’s one of those two things.” Wheeler expected to return Friday July 22: The Mets plan to activate starting pitcher Zack Wheeler from the 10-day injured list Friday, a team official said, giving him one final showcase before the July 31 Deadline. Wheeler, who has been sidelined by a right shoulder impingement since July 12, threw a bullpen session at Oracle Park on Sunday without issue. His last remaining obstacle before activation will be a live batting practice session against hitters at Citi Field this week. In 19 starts, Wheeler is 6-6 with a 4.69 ERA. Although his injury was ill-timed, he is still considered one of the top starters available at the July 31 Deadline. Wheeler預計周五回歸 Astros looking to upgrade rotation 太空人在找季後賽等級的SP和補強捕手深度,不過他們對目前陣容很有自信 July 22: If the Astros are going to acquire a starting pitcher to bolster their rotation, it likely won’t happen until close to the July 31 Deadline, president of baseball operations and general manager Jeff Luhnow said on Monday. Luhnow said the Astros are seeking a playoff-caliber starting pitcher, such as Marcus Stroman, Robbie Ray, Madison Bumgarner and Matthew Boyd. Houston is also looking to add catching depth. A move may not be imminent, however, as Luhnow is confident in his roster and believes the Astros already have enough talent to win the World Series. Rockies would consider trading Blackmon 洛磯可能給Blackmon開價,雖然感覺交易機會不大 July 22: Sources say that the Rockies would field trade offers for All-Star outfielder Charlie Blackmon, although the chances of dealing him before the Deadline are unlikely. For starters, Blackmon has a 15-team no-trade clause, which would complicate any trade negotiations. The Rockies would also have to consider the clubhouse ramifications of dealing one of the team's most talented and popular players. The Rockies need starting pitching, however, and shopping Blackmon may be the best way to acquire it. The Rangers, Reds and Cardinals are among the teams who could pursue Blackmon via trade, although there’s no indication that serious talks have occurred. Brewers may pursue help for weakened rotation 釀酒人可能會想辦法強化輪值,在這個Woodruff要離隊6周的時間點 July 22: The Brewers received some bad news on Monday, when it was announced that All-Star starter Brandon Woodruff would miss about six weeks with a left oblique strain. The 26-year-old righty was in the midst of a breakout before being sidelined, going 11-3 with a 3.75 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP and a 10.4 K/9 rate over 20 starts. While the Brewers could replace Woodruff internally, they may opt to trade for a proven starter instead. Accordingly, Milwaukee may become a candidate for some of the market's top starters leading up to the Deadline. Marlins looking to move veterans 馬林魚想繼續出清老將,一年約的Romo,Walker,Granderson,今年到期明年TO的Castro July 22: With the July 31 Deadline approaching, several Marlins could be on the move. Closer Sergio Romo, infielder Neil Walker and outfielder Curtis Granderson are on one-year contracts and will be eligible for free agency after the season. Second baseman Starlin Castro is also a candidate to be traded. He's making $11 million this season and has a club option for $16 million in 2020. His contract also has a $1 million buyout. Teams are also inquiring about starting pitchers Trevor Richards and Caleb Smith. Both are in their second big league seasons and have five years of club control remaining, so the asking price for them will be high. Red Sox targeting closers July 22: Even with the return of Nathan Eovaldi this weekend, the Red Sox are still looking to solidify their bullpen for the stretch run. MLB.com's Jon Morosi reports that Boston has shown active interest in closers Kirby Yates and Ken Giles, either of whom would fill the ninth-inning void left by Craig Kimbrel's free-agent departure last offseason. The Red Sox have had mixed results with their closer-by-committee approach this year, which has resulted in six different relievers recording saves. Yates currently leads the Majors with 31 saves, while Giles has notched 14 saves. Both have posted a sub-2.00 ERA with high strikeout rates as well, making them attractive late-inning options for clubs seeking bullpen help. Giles would prefer to stay with the Blue Jays, however. "I love it here,” he said. “My family loves it here. I would love to be here longer than most people probably expect me to, but that’s out of my hands. So I’m just going to let it flow and let it ride.” Boston may pivot and become sellers, however, if it slips from the pack in the Wild Card race. In that case, the Red Sox may shop J.D. Martinez, who can opt out of the final three years and $62.5 million of his contract at the end of the season. His contract only blocks trades to three teams, meaning he could become widely available. Jackie Bradley Jr., who is under team control through the end of next season, could also draw interest from teams looking for a defensive upgrade in the outfield. Bradley has been contributing with the bat lately as well after getting off to a slow start, making him even more enticing. Padres still searching for pitching 教士繼續找投手來帶領他們的年輕投手陣容 July 22: After seeking a big-name starter last offseason, the Padres are still in the market for a starting pitcher. Although their postseason odds aren't particularly promising at the moment, they'd still like to add a veteran that could lead their young pitching staff and vault them into playoff contention, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports.
