Source: Red Sox offered Andrew Heaney north of $30M but he took Texas' 2-year, $
25M deal (with an option) due to his relationship with Chris Young and personal
reasons.

Heaney chose Texas' offer over "several" higher offers but the Oklahoma native w
anted to be there.
