Pirates Discussing Contract Extension With Mitch Keller

The Pirates and representatives for right-hander Mitch Keller have been in talks
about a contract extension, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports. There isn’t
any sense whether or not the two sides are particularly close to an agreement,
though Pirates owner Bob Nutting suggested last month that the club was looking
to extend more core players now that Bryan Reynolds had completed his own long-t
erm deal.
