Reds have placed C Jose Trevino on the 10-day IL (thoracic spine strain,
retroactive to April 5); selected the contract of C/IF P.J. Higgins from
AAA-Louisville. To make room for Higgins on 40-man, Reds have designated INF
Christian Encarnacion-Strand for assignment.
