David de Gea - 6

Dealt with the routine shots comfortably during a quiet afternoon as he
recorded another clean sheet having been beaten by Newcastle a week earlier.

Antonio Valencia - 4

Has been carrying a knee injury for a while and his performance showed signs
of that. Careless at both ends. Perhaps his poorest performance under
Mourinho.

Victor Lindelof - 7 (今日最大驚奇!!!!!

Glenn Murray was always bound to out-muscle him but the Swede was never
humiliated and this was a progressive performance. Executed a brutal and fair
tackle on Anthony Knockaert that got the crowd going.

Chris Smalling - 7

Did little wrong during another steady display. Continues to regain some of
the faith he lost under Mourinho last season.

Ashley Young - 7 (合約年的YOUNG 不下呂布

Did not enjoy an auspicious start but grew into the game and offered natural
width with his purposeful forages into Brighton's third. Scored the winner
with a deflected strike but was targeted towards the end.

Nemanja Matic - 4 (??? 我覺得今天MATIC補後防補的超好的說???

Didn't hit his usual heights. For someone who did not start in midweek, it
did not look like it as Matic played awry passes.

Paul Pogba - 6

United were completely dependent on him again but few teammates got close to
Pogba's level. Pulled the strings in midfield.

Juan Mata - 4

Started on the right but switched to the middle and in both areas he was
ineffectual. Hasn't capitalised on Henrikh Mkhitaryan's demotion and was
hooked.

Marcus Rashford - 5

Began behind Romelu Lukaku before he was shunted to the right. Full of
enterprise but not enough end product.

Anthony Martial - 6

One of the more willing attackers and constantly tried to make something
happen but to no avail against a rigid rearguard.

Romelu Lukaku - 4

Alarmingly static at times for a 24-year-old in his first months at United.
Had an air of entitlement which was not indulged by his misfiring teammates.

Subs

Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 5

Got some more valuable minutes under his belt but not fluid enough on the
ball.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - 5

Not much time to impress and made little impact.

Marouane Fellaini - 6

Shored things up.
