Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata brilliant

David de Gea - 6 (小心別著涼啦

A virtual passenger on his 300th appearance for the club and did not have a
save to make. Easy.

Antonio Valencia - 6

Covered an awful lot of ground as Mata drifted inside and was sometimes
caught out by van La Parra.

Chris Smalling - 6

Had his hands full with Depoitre but responded well to Tottenham humiliation.
Made one key tackle towards end of first-half.

Marcos Rojo - 6

The main beneficiary from the Tottenham debacle and made one crucial header
to keep a rare Huddersfield attack at bay.

Luke Shaw - 6

Some encouraging link-up play with Sanchez on the overlap and even when he
was dispossessed he responded well and tracked back.

Scott McTominay - 5

Mourinho's biggest display of faith yet but Huddersfield targeted him with
Biling and later floored by Kongolo's horror challenge. Kept it simple.

Nemanja Matic - 6

Has looked in bad need of a rest lately but this was a quiet return to form.
Tried to encourage McTominay along.

Juan Mata - 7

Floated inside as always and held firm against Huddersfield's attack dogs.
Brilliant cross for opening goal.

Jesse Lingard - 6

Nearly opened the door on a few occasions with his Roadrunner routine but
there was not to be another moment for the highlights reel.

Alexis Sanchez - 8 (真正的鬥士啊!!! 今天至少被放倒十次...

United's best player on his home debut and a brilliant one-man dribble and
shot nearly opened the scoring. A cool rebound from penalty spared blushes.

Romelu Lukaku - 7

Had cut a frustrated figure as he tried to link-up with play before a well
taken volley. Mobbed by team-mates in celebration.

Substitutes

Paul Pogba (65') - 6

Trademark through ball set Mata free before Sanchez won the penalty.

Marcus Rashford (71') - 6

Lively on right

Anthony Martial (77') - 6

A rare appearance up front
