Had to deal with countless long shots and made a good reaction save from
Shelvey early doors.

Antonio Valencia - 5

Got forward in support of Martial and coped well with livewire Kenedy who
barely had a sniff.

Phil Jones - 6

Back in and has put that Spurs horror show behind him. Made one key block from
a Shelvey effort. Not afraid to bark at team-mates.

Chris Smalling - 4

A little lucky with the Gayle penalty shout and his shocking dive handed
Newcastle a rare set-piece opportunity which they took full advantage of.

Ashley Young - 5

Appears firmly in the driving seat ahead of Shaw at left-back and was vocal in
guiding his team-mates against the Geordie terriers.

Nemanja Matic - 6

Another who was really unnerved by the home side's energetic start but
gradually grew into the game. Great pass set Martial free.

Paul Pogba - 4 (我覺得是心理出了問題.....

Recalled but did not look 100% after his early exit from the warm up.
Uncharacteristically sloppy in possession. Left his runner too often.

Anthony Martial - 6 (運.

Lively on the right with some dazzling runs and had one of United's best
chances but was denied one-on-one by Dubravka.

Jesse Lingard - 5

Quiet otherwise and Mourinho had words during one break in play.

Alexis Sanchez - 6

Effortlessly rounded Dubravka but extra touch allowed Lejeune to recover with
the goal gaping. Menacing. Even the Geordies applauded some showboating.

Romelu Lukaku - 6

A stunning through ball set Sanchez free but he fluffed his lines with the
return. Tough aerial duel with Lascelles which unnerved Benitez on touchline.
