[中學] pre-caculus數學3題((比較是語言障礙

最近剛好在教一個學生pre-caculus,想討論一下這兩題

1.Decide whether the function is an exponential growth or exponential decay
function and find the constant percentage rate of growth or decay.

f(x) = 6 *1.07x

        Exponential growth function; 0.07%
        Exponential growth function; 7%
        Exponential growth function; 107%
        Exponential decay function; 107%
2.Find the exponential function that satisfies the given conditions. (1
point)

Initial value = 35, increasing at a rate of 10% per year

        f(t) = 35*1.1t 
        f(t) = 35*10t
        f(t) = 10*1.1t
        f(t) = 35*0.1t

標黃色是我覺得的答案,做第一題的時候覺得f(2)/f(1)=1.07,所以選107%,但是做到第二

題的時候,突然覺得怪怪的,因為他用了increasing rate 10%,想問一下這是不是跟台灣的

題目一樣有"增加為原來幾倍","變為原來幾倍"的差別,不然依照第一題的原理,growth的比

例永遠不會<1,不然就會變成dacay了,這樣敘述不知道大家懂不懂我的問題,個人覺得是英

文的問題...本身不是念英文的數學,現在又要開始邊念邊教別人,麻煩大家幫幫忙了,謝謝

推 LPH66       : rate of growth 中文叫「成長率」, 所以是 7%
