我在翻譯時遇到與數學相關的問題，

因為實在一竅不通，

希望各位數學高手能救救我！

原文如下：

His dissertation for his doctorate in developmental psychology consisted of a
mathematical tour de force describing “a dynamic factors model derived from
a constrained spectral decomposition of the lagged covariance function into a
singular and a nonsingular component.”

有問題的是引號內的部分，

我分段拆解後勉強能翻到：

「一個源於落後共變異數函數的約束譜分解into奇異分量及非奇異分量的動態因子模型」

不確定into指的是什麼，請問這一句怎麼解釋比較好呢？
