題目:
The computer science instructor has two colleagues.
one of these colleagues has three textbooks on the analysis
of algorithms,and the other has five such textbooks.
If n denotes the maximum number of different books on this topic
that this instructor can borrow from them,then 5 <= n <= 8,for here
both colleagues may own copies of the same textbook(s)
我的疑惑:
照字面上來翻譯 是兩位同事分別有3本和5本有關演算法分析的書
然後一個指導老師 要借多少本書才會有...
最後一句 "for here....of the same textbook(s)" 的效果
到底是隱藏甚麼意思?
copies =副本 (是指借了要影印?)
may = 是 "可能" 還是 "可以" ?
same textbook = 要怎麼借到有兩個一樣的書?
