如圖中鉛筆字圖所示, (i) 的條件表示 P 點離 C 圓圓心距離是√2
也就是 P 點在 (x-3)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 2 上
而這圓上的點離原點的矩離最短是 (2,2) 的 √8, 最長是 (4,4) 的 √32
所以欲求的整數距離可能是 3, 4, 5
每一個距離都可以找到兩個點 (圓心在原點, 半徑為此距離的圓和上圓交於兩點)
所以符合兩條件的點一共有六個

如圖, 實黑線圓是圓 C, 虛線圓是上述的圓
紅圓是離原點距離 3, 4, 5 的圓, 所求六點即是虛線圓和紅圓的所有交點
