also put them back atop the NBA.

The Warriors look to put on another dazzling offensive display Wednesday
night, when they go for a fifth straight win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Golden State (38-8) owns the best record in the league, and ranks first in
points per game (111.0) and assists (27.3). The latter has been particularly
impressive all season, as the Warriors already have a league-leading 19 games
with 30 or more assists - going 18-1 in such contests - for the most since
Utah had 20 in 2009-10.

They collected 33 assists on 46 baskets Tuesday night and used a 23-0 run in
the first half to rout Sacramento 121-96. Golden State also had a 61-12
scoring average off the bench.

"I love the box score. I love having a lot of different guys scoring and not
having all the points concentrated on a few guys," coach Steve Kerr said. "It

That starts with Stephen Curry, who is the only player in the league

respectively. He hit his scoring averaging Tuesday while dishing out nine
assists in 28 minutes - five fewer than his season average.

The All-Star guard scored 29 points to lead Golden State to a 105-98 win at
Dallas on Dec. 13, extending the Warriors' winning streak in the series to
four games.

Klay Thompson added 25 in that victory, but he's averaged 16.0 points while
missing 12 of 17 from beyond the arc over the past three games. The guard was
scoring 35.0 points per game and made 21 of 40 from 3-point range in the
previous four contests.

The Mavericks are going for a fourth straight win following a losing streak
of that length. They're also looking to improve to 2-0 without Rajon Rondo
after beating Minnesota 100-94 on Monday behind 23 points from guard Monta
Ellis.

He is averaging 24.7 points on 51.7 percent shooting over the past six games.
Having Ellis maintain that production could be vital with Rondo out at least
two more games after breaking the orbital bone of his left eye and fracturing
his nose in Saturday's 108-93 win at Orlando.

It's unclear if Dallas will have reserve guard Devin Harris available after
he hurt his leg Monday.
