The Mavericks are one step closer to filling out their roster after signing
shooting guard John Jenkins on Monday.

Jenkins announced the move on his Twitter account. The deal is reportedly for
three years, according to RealGM.com.

"Guess word got out quick lol," Jenkins wrote. "Can't thank the @dallasmavs
enough for this great opportunity, me and my family are truly blessed!!"

Jenkins played in 24 games for the Hawks last year, starting three. He
averaged 12.4 minutes, 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

Jenkins has spent the past three years with the Hawks after being selected
23rd overall by the team in the 2012 NBA Draft.
