Right this moment, the Warriors’ Klay Thompson is wishing the worst for the
Dodgers in the World Series.
此時此刻，勇士明星Klay Thompson則希望道奇隊在世界大賽打得超爛。

On the surface, it seems a curious affectation. Thompson was born in Los
Angeles. His dad Mychal played for the L.A. Lakers. He still hangs in SoCal,
and it’s where he staged his basketball camp in August.
這樣的情結實在令人好奇，KT在LA出生，他爸爸Mychal為湖人打球，他在南加州出沒，而
且也是他在八月份辦的訓練營所在地。

So why root, root, root for the Red Sox? For the best reason of all: Family.

“Klay hates the Dodgers,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told KNBR.  … “(ever
since) they cut his brother. Once they released Trayce … We had a team
dinner the other night during Game 7 (of the NLCS) and we had the game on.
Klay walked into the dinner and just blurted out, ‘Go Brewers!'”

Trayce Thompson, an outfielder, spent parts of the 2016 and 2017 seasons with
the Dodgers, batting .207 and hitting 14 homers in 107 games.
外野手Trayce Thompson在2016年一部分以及2017年球季為道奇打球，打了107場比賽，打
擊率.207，敲了14支全壘打。

The Dodgers waived him on April 3. The Yankees snatched him up, then just as
quickly cut him loose again. So the A’s took him in. For two weeks, the
Thompson brothers lived the dream. Trayce moved into Klay’s place in Oakland
just as Klay was revving up for the Warriors’ playoff run.
道奇在4/3時將他釋出，洋基隨即把他納入，但是又很快的釋出他。然後運動家把他帶回

Alas, Oakland traded Trayce to the White Sox on April 19. But not before he
made the A’s catch of the year:

Makes you wonder. Will Klay now actively root against the A’s given that
they traded his brother? What about the White Sox? They drafted Trayce and
brought him to the majors in 2015, then traded him away, then acquired him
from the A’s. At some point Klay is going to need a flow chart to know which
major league baseball teams to root for and which to wish failure and despair.
現在就讓人懷疑了，運動家把KT的弟弟交易走了，他現在會支持運動家的對手嗎？那白襪
呢？白襪在2015選秀把KT弟選進來，之後把他交易走，然後又把他從運動家拿回來。可能
將來某個時刻，KT會需要一張流程圖才會搞得清楚MLB哪些隊伍他應該要支持，哪些隊伍他
應該要希望輸球的。

In a semi-related development, Kerr and Steph Curry have a wager on the World
Series. Kerr is backing the Dodgers (he, too, grew up in SoCal), with Curry
favoring the Red Sox.
另外有個狀況，Kerr跟Curry在世界大賽有個賭注。Kerr是支持道奇的(他也是在南加州長
大的)，Curry則是喜歡紅襪。

“Can’t reveal the stakes,” Kerr told KNBR.
「不能透露賭注，」Kerr說。
