Detroit Pistons center Andrew Drummond will always be compared to the NBA’s
other big men with long buckets in their arsenal, so you can’t fault the guy
for trying to show that he too can hit shots well outside his normal range.
活塞中鋒Andrew Drummond一直都會被拿來跟NBA其他的會投遠距離的大個子比較，所以這
就不能怪他想要從比他平常投的距離還要遠的地方投球，好展現他也可以投遠距的能力。

Bleacher Report just exposed Drummond’s lack of rim depth awareness yet
again with this clip from Friday night’s contest against the Chicago Bulls.

At first glance, the setup was all there for Drummond to make a quick
highlight reel snippet out of his shot attempt. Robin Lopez giving him room
to work, shot clock winding down, awareness of where the three-point line is
… all resulting into a way off-target clunker doinking off the top of the
backboard.
一開始看，整個就像是設計好的要讓這次Drummond的投球成為整晚的高光之一。Robin
Lopez沒有貼上，給了他足夠的空間，24秒時間也快要到了，他也注意到了三分線的位
置...但是最後卻打到了籃板上緣。

Wouldn’t it have been safer and easier for him to back down Lopez in the
post? Drummond had the advantage on Lopez, to begin with, but instead opted
for a flashier finish that ended up being a horrible step-back attempt that
nobody expects him to make.
去低位單打Lopez對Drummond來說難道不是比較簡單而且保險的嗎? Drummond對戰Lopez有
優勢，但是他卻選擇了一個花俏的投球，結果投了一個大家都沒有期待他做的後撤步，一
個打到籃板上緣的後撤步。

As a dismal 15.2-percent career three-point shooter, Drummond would be better
off ditching the long distance range altogether. He’s attempting a
three-ball once every two games on average this season as opposed to
virtually never venturing out beyond the arc in his first six seasons in the
league.
三分命中率只有悲慘的15.2%，他或許還是放棄遠距離投球吧。他本季大概每兩場就會嘗試
一顆三分球，相較他生涯前六季幾乎沒有嘗試過在三分線出手過。

The 25-year-old still has a lot of mileage left in his NBA career to improve
his shooting range. But with moments like this, perhaps it would be best for
him to stay in the post and not succumb to the pressure of having to adapt
into the modern-day NBA big man with range akin to his peers.
今年25歲的Drummond還有很長的NBA生涯，可以改進他的投射能力。不過賽季到了這個階
段，或許目前最好的策略還是打低位，而不是改變自己，跟隨現今NBA大個子也要投遠距的
風潮。
