to step up
Brad Stevens說青賽虧欠Kyrie Irving，要球員挺身而出

The Boston Celtics have been impressive so far, winning three of the four
games in their California road trip. For coach Brad Stevens, a lot of the team
’s success has something to do with Kyrie Irving’s leadership on the court
and in the locker room.
最近的青賽令人驚艷，在加州的客場戰四場贏了三場，而對教練Brad Stevens來說，一大
部分的成功都跟Kyrie Irving在球場上以及休息室裡的領導力有關係。

“We take a lot from Kyrie, but we owe a lot from Kyrie,” Stevens told Jared
Greenberg of NBA TV.
「我們從Kyrie那得到了很多，但是我們也虧欠他很多，」Stevens跟NBA TV記者說。

Stevens acknowledged that since Irving is the best player on the team, he’s
going to get a lot of praise when the team wins and criticisms whenever the
team loses. The Celtics coach said that it’s the entire team’s job to
support Kyrie if they want to win games.
Stevens表示，因為Irving是隊上最好的球員，當球隊贏球時Irving會得到很多讚賞，但是
當輸球的時候，批評他的就接踵而來。他說球隊若是想要贏球，去支持Kyrie是團隊的責
任。

“I think everybody’s leadership impacts it [winning],” the 42-year-old
coach added. “It’s never about one person. It’s about all of us, it’s
about the team.”
「我認為每個的領導力都會對贏球這件事有影響，」42歲的Brad Stevens說。「從來就不
是一個人的責任，這是大家的，是這個團隊的責任。」

Stevens concluded that it’s not Kyrie’s responsibility to give the rest of
the team energy, but rather, each and everyone of them has to come out and
play with the same level of intensity and winning mentality in order for them
to achieve their goal.
Stevens說不是要Kyrie一個人給球隊帶來能量，而是隊上每一個人都拿出一樣的強度跟贏
球意志力才能幫助球隊達成目標。

“I think everybody has that opportunity everyday. We all go into a room
everyday, and we decide whether to raise it, keep it the same, or lower it.
And ultimately, it’s all of our jobs to raise it.”
「我認為隊上每個人每一天都有機會，我們進去場館，每一天，我們決定是要向上提升，
保持平盤，或是向下沉淪。但是最後，那是我們每一個人的責任把球隊帶向上。」

The Celtics are finally coming together in time for the playoffs, and if they
want to achieve their ultimate goal — which is to win a championship —
relying on Kyrie Irving is not something that they should do too much.
青賽總算及時回神，來得及準備季後賽，但是若是他們想要達到他們的終極目標，拿下總
冠，那他們就不能太依賴Kyrie Irving。

Boston has enough talent around Irving, and if utilized properly, the rest of
the team can take a lot of responsibility off of Kyrie’s shoulders. That
should make it easier for the All-Star guard to operate on both ends of the
floor.
青賽在Kyrie的身旁的球員有足夠天賦，可以把Kyrie肩膀上的重擔分一些出去，那就會讓
Kyrie在攻守兩端更加輕鬆寫意。
