In the middle of the NBA Finals, Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard is
engaging in another high-stakes battle.
在總冠賽系列戰的中段，多倫多暴龍前鋒Kawhi Leonard又開啟了另外一場高風險的戰鬥。

Leonard on Monday filed a lawsuit against Nike, claiming the shoe and sports
apparel manufacturer claimed ownership of a logo Leonard designed in filing
an application for copyright protection.
Leonard在星期一的時候提起訴訟，宣稱這運動鞋及周邊運動商品製造商說擁有Leonard所
設計的個人專屬標誌，且將其申請著作權。

In a nine-page filing before the U.S. District Court in Southern California,
Leonard alleges Nike committed fraud and he is seeking control over the use
of the logo going forward.
這長達九頁的文件送到南加州的地方法院，裡面Leonard指稱Nike有詐欺行為，他要收回對
這個人標誌的控制權。

Leonard had an endorsement deal with Nike that expired on Sept. 20, 2018,
according to the lawsuit. He now has a deal with New Balance.
Leonard跟Nike的代言合約在2018年的9月20日到期，他現在是跟New Balance簽約。

The suit says "the drawing Leonard authored was an extension and continuation
of drawings he had been creating since early in his college career." The logo
features an outline of Leonard's hand with the initials KL and the number 2
inside.
文件裡說到"Leonard所授權的圖案是在他生涯早期他就創造出來的圖案，而且持續演進"。
那個圖案用他名字縮寫KL以及號碼2組合描繪出Leonard手的外型。

Leonard claims he gave Nike permission to use the logo "on certain
merchandise" while Leonard continued to use it "on non-Nike goods."
Leonard宣稱他給Nike的使用權是用在"某些商品"上，而Leonard則是持續可以用在"非Nike
商品"。

He says Nike has now objected to him using the logo and he is seeking to
regain control of it for use "on clothing lines, footwear and on other
products."
他說現在Nike反對他用這個標誌，他現在要拿回控制權，會用在"服飾，鞋類以及其他商
品"。
