The Dallas Mavericks will now go down in NBA preseason history as the first
team that Steven Adams hit a three-pointer against. Although this is most
certainly a joking matter, it appears as though the Oklahoma City Thunder big
man in Adams is quite serious about adding yet another component to his game
in 2019-20.
達拉斯小牛會在NBA的熱身賽歷史上被記上一筆，因為雷霆Steven Adams在面對他們的時候
投進了生涯第一顆三分球。雖然這看起來有點像是開玩笑的性質，不過似乎對雷霆大個對
於在他的進攻手段上多添加一種武器是很認真的。

As a result of Tuesday evening’s preseason matchup between the Thunder and
Mavericks, Adams notably hit the first three-point field goal of his NBA
career. However, could this be the first of many?
也因此在熱身賽對上小牛的時候，Adams投進了他生涯的第一顆三分球。不過，這會代表之
後有更多顆三分球嗎？

This could become quite an interest topic of discussion going forward as
well. Back in January of this year, Adams actually told Royce Young of ESPN
that he had absolutely no intention of shooting threes going forward.
這個將會是這個賽季值得討論的話題之一。就在今年一月，Adams還跟ESPN記者Royce
Young講過他沒有任何意願想要投三分球的。

“Points per possession — I get it. I get it. But it’s not a machine. You
can’t just throw throw s— in there and the product at the end should be, ‘
This, according to our calculation.’ That’s not how it works.”
「每次球權得分數--我懂我懂，但是比賽不是跟機器運作一樣，不是就隨便丟甚麼五四三
的東西進去然後就有產品出來的，比賽不是就像是"根據我們的計算分析"在走的。」

“There’s other players out there that I’m pretty sure I could beat them in
a 3-point contest, other bigs. But they’ll shoot one in a game,” Adams
says. “Hey, their coach allows it, that’s cool. I don’t give a s—. Do
whatever you gotta do.
「我很確定NBA裡有些球員我跟他們比三分球我會贏，但是他們每場都會投個三分球，」
Adams說。「ㄟ，他們的教練讓他們投，那很好，但是我才懶得管呢，想做甚麼就去做。」

With the new-look Thunder definitely in need of some offense, perhaps a
change in circumstance and personnel has led Adams to choose a different
stance ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. Despite the departure of current
Houston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook, the Thunder still has some
pieces in place to compete this time around — Adams included.
以目前雷霆的新陣容來看，他們是很需要有進攻的能力的，或許因為環境改變或是球員陣
容改變讓Adams決定在新賽季要有不同的方式來打。雖然Russell Westbrook離開雷霆去了
火箭，但是雷霆仍舊需要把目前陣容拼湊起來準備好季賽--其中也包括了Adams。
