[花邊] Zaza回憶勇士奪下西冠後與Curry的趣事

Despite retiring from the NBA in 2019, he remains a beloved figure in the Bay
Area, especially given his current role as a basketball operations
consultant. A significant reason why he’s well-liked by fans and former
teammates is that he never took himself too seriously, often providing comic
relief and lightening the mood in high-pressure environments.He even recalled a moment when the hat he was given after they won the
Western Conference title didn’t fit. His superstar teammate, Stephen Curry,
loved every second of watching him try to squeeze his huge dome into it.Zaza recalled a moment that occurred not long after they won the Western
Conference title.“We won the Western Conference championship. They provided hats, and the hat
didn’t quite fit me,” he said. “Steph and his laughter definitely enjoyed
the moment when I tried to squeeze that one-size-fits-all hat on my head. He
was loving it,” Zaza continued.


儘管Zaza於2019年從NBA退役，他至今仍是灣區備受愛戴的人物，尤其是在他目前擔任籃

球營運顧問的角色下更是如此。他之所以能深受球迷與前隊友喜愛，一個重要的原因在於

他從不把自己看得太嚴肅，總是能在高壓環境中帶來笑點和緩和氣氛。他回憶起這麼一個

片段，當時球隊贏下西區冠軍後，頒發給他的帽子尺寸並不合適，他的隊友Stephen Curry

看著他費盡力氣，試圖把自己寬大的腦袋塞進帽子裡的模樣全程樂不可支。


Zaza回憶球隊奪下西區冠軍後不久發生的事。「我們贏下了西區冠軍，工作人員發放了帽

子，但那頂帽子不太適合我，當我費盡力氣想把這頂均碼的帽子套進頭上時，Curry在一旁

笑個不停，顯然樂在其中，他當時可開心了。」Zaza說。


Being the good sport that he was, Zaza didn’t mind being the butt of Curry’
s joke. This was a great example of the dynamic of the Warriors’ team.
Everybody had fun. Everyone didn’t mind getting teased. However, Zaza added
that Steph made an effort to make it up to him by surprising him before the
NBA Finals tipped off.Right before the finals that year, we had our first practice to start
preparing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Everyone was sitting around this
big-screen TV. There was this huge box right underneath the TV. I figured it
was some delivery. Who knows?” Pachulia said. “Finally, Steph said, ‘Hey, coach, before you start the meeting, I have a
special gift for a special person on this team.’ He opens the box and pulls
out this gigantic custom-made hat that says ‘Western Conference Champions’
 and all that. I know my head size is not normal, but 10 Zaza heads could fit
in that hat. That hat hangs in my office now,” he continued.The anecdote highlighted two key factors that made the Warriors special
during that era. One, nobody was beyond the team’s reach. Not Zaza. Not
Curry. Not even Steve Kerr. Two, this was how they celebrated each other’s
achievements: with humor and camaraderie. It was that bond that made them so
dangerous on the court.


向來幽默大度的Zaza完全不介意成為Curry玩笑裡的對象。這正是勇士團隊氛圍的最佳寫照

，全隊上下都樂在其中，沒有人會在意被開幾句玩笑。不過Zaza補充，Curry後來特地補償

了他，在總冠軍開打前給了他一個大大的驚喜。

「那年總冠軍賽開打前夕，我們進行對陣騎士隊的備戰訓練。當時所有人都圍坐在一台大

螢幕電視前，電視正下方擺著一個超巨大的箱子，我當時還以為是什麼貨物送來了，誰知

道呢？」Zaza回憶。

「這時Curry開口說：『教練，在會議開始前，我要送我們隊上一位特別的夥伴一份特別

的禮物。』說完他打開箱子，從裡面拿出一頂超特大號的訂製帽，帽上印著『西區冠軍』

的字樣。我知道自己的頭圍確實異於常人，但說實話這頂帽子大到連十個我的頭都塞得進

去，這頂帽子現在還掛在我的辦公室裡呢。」他笑著說。

這則趣聞突顯了當年勇士隊之所以特別的兩個關鍵因素：第一，球隊裡沒有任何人是超於

團隊以上的，無論是Zaza、Curry就連Kerr也不例外；第二，他們總是用幽默與歡樂的情誼

來慶祝彼此，正是這份緊密連結的凝聚力，讓他們在球場上難已被擊敗。
