My first-round picks:

Eastern Conference

Pistons over Magic in 5: Detroit has been better and more consistent all season

Cavs over Raptors in 7: Feels like a long series. Cavs haven't earned my trust y

Knicks over Hawks in 5: Knicks are too big and get too much done in the paint.

Celtics over 76ers in 5: Maxey is a problem, but Philadelphia doesn't enough els
e and they don't have the defense to slow down Boston.

Western Conference

Thunder over Suns in 4: Not sure how the Suns handle the Thunder ball-pressure d
efense.

Rockets over Lakers in 5: Would be different if the Lakers had Doncic and Reaves
 but they don't.

Nuggets over Timberwolves in 7: We've been here before. Wolves just challenge De
nver differently than most.

Spurs over Trail Blazers in 5: Wemby and the guards are too much for the Blazers

My preseason NBA Finals pick was Thunder over Knicks.

I'm revising that to Thunder over Celtics.

Bias/homerism at play here? Yeah, probably. But Boston has looked so good with J
ayson Tatum back that I believe they're the best team in the East now.

And can't pick against OKC.
