James Nnaji的情況被Diego Pavia控告NCAA的訴狀中引用.
Diego Pavia在今年成爲Heisman獎提名人後雖然宣布將參加明年NFL選秀,但是還是在
上週五在Nashville聯邦法庭代表數名前二年制大學(JUCO)運動員對NCAA提出訴訟. 主
要是指出NCAA對於Nnaji在歐洲的職業運動生涯不算在大學資格年份中,但是對JUCO球員
的生涯卻要從NCAA資格中扣出是雙標的行為.
訴狀中指出,NCAA對JUCO球員資格一併計算的理由是這些球員如果有四年資格的話他們對
18歲高中畢業的大一新生有不合理的身體優勢. 但是同樣的理由卻不套在Nnaji的身上,
這是很明顯的雙規. Pavis在2024年就成功地贏得一個聯邦裁定,讓他可以在2025年參加
比賽. 從那之後有26名JUCO球員也加入原告陣容
有趣的地方是這篇訴狀的開頭是改了美國作家Clement Clarke Moore的聖誕詩A Visit
