The Broncos will host the Panthers in this year's Thursday night opener
on Sept. 8.
It's a Super Bowl 50 rematch, albeit without Peyton Manning. The stars had
to align for this matchup to be possible, as the Broncos and Panthers only
play once every four years. 2016 just happened to be the year the Panthers
head to Denver. The NFL has made a new tradition of the defending Super Bowl
champs hosting the season's opening game. The rest of the schedule will be
announced Thursday evening at 8ET.
