Suppose now the packet is 2,000 bytes, the propagation speed on all three links is 2*10^8 m/s, the transmission rates of all three links are 4 Mbps, the packet switch processing delay is 3 msec, the length of the first link is 7,000 km, the length of the second link is 5,000 km, and the length of the last link is 8,000 km. Further suppose that the Web page associated with the link contains m very small objects. Suppose the HTTP running is non-persistent and let RTT_0 denote the RTT between the local host and the server for each object. Assuming zero transmission time of each object, how much time elapses from when the client clicks on the link until the client receives all the objects? 5. (10pts) Suppose Bob joins a BitTorrent torrent, but he does not want to upload any data to any other peers (so called free-riding). a. Bob claims that he can receive a complete copy of the file that is shared by the swarm. Is Bobs claim possible? Why or why not? b.
