2. How to select proper sensor(s) based on key static characteristics (you
can show them) to develop mechanics system by a system (application) engineer
's view
Hint: the relationship between measured and output of sensor will be a useful

3. What are differences in signal characteristic between vibration and shock?
Please give proper sensors for above both applications and show their
principles respectively. Why do you select them? [15%]
4. Please give three types of sensors utilized in vehicles’ engines. What
are critical physical/chemical parameters you concern in monitoring engines’
performances? Please show principles of your proposal sensors, and then
outline their advantages & shortages. [15%]
5. Plant factory is a novel concept and methodology for agriculture
revolution. What are essential parameters (physical, chemical ….) for
monitoring processes in a plant factory? To be a system engineer, please find
proper type of sensor(s) for each essential parameters and give reasons to
explain your choice. [25%]
