我不是財務專家，下面的解讀不完全正確，但希望幫你了解一下
(1) 看清楚是Grant Day，通常就是你加入公司的日期
這不是Vesting Day(這在你就職後的未來，第一次是12個月後）
也就是二三年後市價漲你就賺，跌了你什麼都沒有（因為是option，不是stock)
option只有漲才有意思，你的option是一種Long Call

公司跌了，你就什麼都沒有
(2) 這裡要小心的是，當你的Option Vest的時候（給了你）
你拿到option的那一年可能就要繳稅

(3) 你拿的是 Common Stock
投資人或創辦人拿的（可能是）Preferred Stock
可能投票權不對等，或是有其它的差別
(4) 公司未上市，因此Option不能自由買賣
如果你離職時，可以繼續抱著等他IPO的那一天
但若你想獲利了結（可能只能賣回公司／同事？）
這時Option的Market Value怎麼決定？
從你的文中沒辦法知道，可能其它的大大可以分享這點
(5) 公司募資時可能有發行convertible debt
也有可能給投資人preference
這些萬一公司賣掉，都會影響你手中option的價格
(6) 400shares不重要，重要的是幾%
以及公司目前的估值，及未來的exit plan
只有這樣資訊都清楚，才能”粗估”option的價值
(7) 你的option很常見，待滿一年拿1/4，之後每月拿1/48
4年剛好拿完，但未滿一年離職一毛都沒有
如果你的recruiter跟你說，現在1cent，未來值100元的話
你就賺40000了，這純是框你的…
而且能走到IPO的公司真的很少很少很少…
通常最後都是被買走（賣掉）
賣掉之後，投資人先拿走他們的獲利，創辦人分一（大／小）杯羹？
剩下拿0.25%以下的，就算賣100 million，還掉debt
分掉preference，剩下每個option最後只值幾元都是有可能的

絕對數值（幾股Option)，光看offer letter，跟本沒法判斷
除非你看好公司會是下一個Google/FB或是風光上市10 Billion級的成功
大多數的時候，option值的（真相）比你想像中的少得多
