Job Description
We are seeking a PhD student interested in hormone
signaling and phytohormone cross-talk in plants. We recently constructed
a systematic map of the phytohormone signaling network of the model
plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
Bioinformatic analyses revealed a number of exciting hypothesis about
interactions mediated integration of signals that mediate developmental
as well as abiotic (e.g. drought) and biotic (pathogens) stress
signaling.
The candidate will use tools from genetics, molecular biology,
biochemistry and cell biology to elucidate the role and detailed
molecular mechanisms of selected protein interactions in hormone signal
transduction and plant stress responses.
Your Qualifications
- Background in biological sciences like biology,
biochemistry or comparable is expected
- Excellent oral and written
communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively
with a diverse multidisciplinary and multicultural team are necessary -
A proactive and independent thinking personality devoted to science and
motivated to search for innovative research solutions would fit into our
research team
